A4A Commends White House Best in Class Arrivals Experience Goal

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2015 – Airlines for America (A4A), the industry trade organization for the leading U.S. airlines, released the following statement on the White House announcement to improve the U.S. entry process to be “best in class.”

“Travel and tourism is America’s largest and most important services export and our members are committed to further enhancing the critical role air travel, tourism and shipping play as key drivers of U.S. job creation and economic growth,” said A4A President and CEO Nicholas E. Calio. “Airlines are adding seats to the market to accommodate the growing demand for air travel, including more international seats than ever before and the highest number of domestic seats in seven years. We commend the White House’s national goal for making the arrival experience more welcoming and efficient and remain committed to working with the Administration on our shared goal of reducing wait times, while growing and improving U.S. air travel.”
